In order to successfully complete this course, you must demonstrate your understanding of the course materials by:

• completing the assignments in each module
• participating actively in the discussion board activities
• submitting the quizzes
• completing all oral assignment
• earning a combined average of at least 60% on the proctored assessments

Here is an overview of all of the different types of assignments in the course. You can find detailed directions for the assignments and the grading rubrics in the module where they are assigned.

Homework

Homework consists of workbook exercises, writing, grammar studies, and oral assignments.

Discussions

• You will use Discussion forums to submit course specific discussions.

Quizzes and Assessments

• There are a lot of mini-quizzes in the course.
• There are 2 proctored exams and 1 final project in the course.

Online Meetings

There are required online meetings every week. Most sessions begin with students' questions, some speaking practice, and then move on to the topic of the day.  You earn ten points for each session you attend.  If you miss a session, you can view a recording of it and earn credit!
