ADJ 248 :Probation, Parole, and Treatment (3 Credits)
Overview

This course will introduce you to the concepts of probation, parole, and community corrections in theory and in practice.  The course will also explore the history, mission, implementation and administration of these criminal justice sanctions. 

This class will benefit those of you who wish to enter the field of probation and parole.  If probation is not your primary career choice, the course will nonetheless give you a great overview of the inner workings of community corrections and the probation realm.  It is advantageous for anyone entering the criminal justice field to know the basics of these correctional components. 

Course Prerequisites -There are no prerequisites for this course. Anyone with an interest in the administration of justice field will enjoy this class!
