ENG 121 : Introduction to Journalism I - 3 Credits
Overview

English 121 is an introductory journalism course and is the first in NVCC's series of journalism courses. You will learn the basics of journalistic wiring, newsgathering, and reporting by researching using internet, human, and print sources and by drafting, critiquing, revising and publishing your stories. You will participate in online discussions, take exams, and bring your stories to final publishable quality.

In addition to the required texts, you will be viewing at least one popular movie in Blackboard using SWANK. You will also be viewing and listening to a number of online videos & recordings. You will need speakers or a headset to take full advantage of these recordings.
