Overview |
|
This course examines the exciting and important last 50 years of American history.
Students will view 26 video productions that will include lectures from historical
locations, film footage, still pictures, and dozens of interviews. The textbook will
provide an interpretive journey through the events that have changed the lives of
almost every American. Political and diplomatic history will receive attention; but so
will social and cultural trends that have had a dramatic impact on women and
minorities in our society.
Students will interpret original historical documents, prepare a letter of introduction,
take three exams and prepare a written project.
