Provides a general working introduction to software for database management. Course covers planning, defining, and using a database; performing queries; creating forms; producing reports; working with multiple files.
Prerequisite: ITE 115 - Basic Computer Literacy or equivalent
You are expected to work at least 4-6 hours each week in order to complete the assigned activities

If you do well in this course, you will be able to:
- Identify and discuss database techniques.
- Discuss microcomputer DBMS fundamentals, capabilities, limitations, applications and problems
- Plan and define a microcomputer DBMS application
- Create and use a microcomputer DBMS application
- Perform queries against a database using a microcomputer DBMS query language
- Create forms to access a database
- Produce reports from a database
- Sequence the database
- Recognize the need for and work with multiple databases
- Interchange data with other applications
