In this
course, you will learn basic principles of Project Management, then
apply those principles in the development of a project plan using
Microsoft Project.
NOTE: This course is not intended to prepare you for project management certification.
Prerequisite : There is no prerequisite for

Objectives |

Upon completion of this course, students will be able to:
- Explain what Project Management is (and is not)
- Describe the difference between the Project Manager and Program Management
- Explain the objective of Project Management and its importance
- Describe the components that make up a Project
- Explain the Project Management life cycle and processes
- Define and explain the significance of "project stakeholders"
- Describe the roles and responsibilities of a Project Manager
- Use MS Project to define a project and its elements, including the project tasks, durations, and dependencies
- Identify estimated project costs
- Manipulate project variables to show impacts
- Generate a Project Management Plan
- Identify the steps necessary in closing a project
- Identify the outputs associated with closing a project

exams make up two thirds of your overall grade. In order to pass the
course, you must pass the exams regardless of your performance on
