MTH 157: Elementary Statistics (4 Credits)
Overview

In this course, you will learn elementary descriptive and inferential statistical methods and concepts to aid you in understanding the results of statistical studies and to enable you to perform basic data analyses within your area of interest. Among the many statistical techniques, you will learn data collection methods, concepts of probability, various ways to present data graphically, and how to use data to make inferences.

Entry Level Competencies:The prerequisites for this course are Competency in Math Essentials Units MTE 1-5 as demonstrated through the placement and diagnostic tests, or by completion through unit 5 in an MTT course.
