There is information about extra credit opportunities (ELI
student orientation, extra postings to the Blackboard discussions, special projects and other opportunities)
scattered throughout each of the ELI courses: HIS 101,
HIS 102,
HIS 111,
HIS 112,
HIS 135,
HIS 241 and
HIS 242. It is up to the student to locate that
information; don't ask your instructor to tell you where it is.
I am always looking for possible new assignments in the courses. Suggest one for extra credit! Be creative in
your thinking.
In addition, I would like to encourage any student to
consider creating a website on some specific topic to support instruction in one of my courses (HIS 101, 102,
111, 112, 241 and 242).
Some of the considerations involved
in creating a website
can be found in my HIS 135 course, along with some
examples of what students
have created for that course, but you can do something different than that. Depending on
the complexity of the website, a student can earn from 50 to 150 points of
extra credit. If you are
interested in this work, you should
contact Professor Evans as soon as possible.
