You are the one who controls the course, the effort put into it, and the benefits to be gained from the course.
Regular progress in a self-study course is most important. If you "get behind" early in the course, it may become difficult to catch up. How can you maximize your available study time? Pursue small, realistic goals on a day-by-day basis. Set aside an uninterrupted block of time each day to complete a single study topic in your course guide. Read your Syllabus and Assignments carefully. They describe the structure and requirements of the course.
Please feel free to call me at ELI should you need help. The number is 323-3347. Since my office hours change from semester to semester, the course specialist at the ELI office can give you my current hours. You may call back at that time or leave a message and I will return your call as soon as possible. You may also call the ELI voice mail system at 323-3713. My personal mail box number is 866. Please call should you have any questions. I look forward to hearing from you. You can also email me at pworthington@nvcc.edu
I hope that you will follow through to success in this and succeeding course. Best wishes to you!
