INTRODUCTORY LETTER PURPOSE: 

The purpose is to introduce yourself, so that your instructor can get to know you individually.

INTRODUCTORY LETTER DIRECTIONS:  

Write a one-page letter, including the following:

      1. Your background (if you are a full-time student, your program and year; if you work, the kind of work you do.)
      2.  
      3. Career plans or goals that relate to this course, if any.
      4.  
      5. Why you enrolled in this course, and what you hope to accomplish with it.
      6.  
      7. Make a statement about yourself that will help your instructor remember you from among the many other students in the course. (The statement should focus on what is unique about you.)

      9. Write a cover page with the following information.

      11. You should email your letter to PWorthington@nvcc.edu In the subject section type IST 153 – Intro Letter and Your Name. Send the letter as an attachment. Use either your personal email account or your college email account.
