Laurie Albert

I began teaching Information Systems Technology at NVCC in 1981.  I love to teach!  The computer field is constantly changing so my job is never boring.  My favorite topic to teach is programming.  I really enjoy logic, although my friends and family might disagree!  Another area of interest  is web page design and development.  The internet is vast and the possibilities are endless!  I have recently begun to shift my teaching from the traditional classroom to distance education through web based courses.  It is a different way of teaching and challenging in its own right.  I have the pleasure and privilege of working with an amazing group of students each semester.  I love my job!!

A little personal background.........I have three children, ages 22, 17, and 16, two Pugs, and one cat.  We are all animal lovers and have had hamsters, rabbits, lizards, and other such pets in the past.
