Technology and Skills Needed

To complete LBR 105, you must have access to a computer with: Internet access, a word processing program, and sound and video capabilities, such as Quick Time Player or Real Media Player . You will also need Adobe Flash and Java.

You must be familiar with how to navigate around a web page in a web browser (such as Internet Explorer), use computer sound and video programs to access online media, use email, and use a word processing program.

If you do not have sound and video capability, you should plan to use computers at one of the NOVA campuses.  Alternatively, there is a text version of this course available – for the text version, students should be prepared to do a good amount of reading.
