Instructions | Prepare an Introductory letter that contains the following components. |
Contents | Provide the information
listed below and send to the Course
Administrator. |
Academic Background | Your academic background (any previous studies, how long you have been at NVCC, your program at the College, full or part-time course work, intent to transfer to another institution, etc.). |
Personal Information | Personal information (if you
work, the kind of work you do; career plans or goals; any special requirements). |
Student Purpose | Your purpose
for enrolling in this course. If you are taking LBR105 to complete a
research project for another course, please mention which course. |
Campus | Campus you will be using to
do the assignments in the course. (This may or may not be your home campus. You should
make your initial visit to the campus you specify in this letter, but you may work on
assignments using any NVCC library. |
Contact Information | Phone numbers or non NVCC e-mail at which you can be reached. |
Research Topic | The topic which you plan to
use as the basis for research in this course. If you do not have a topic in mind, state this in your letter. Your Course Instructor will work with you to identify a subject for your research. |
