Conditions Favoring or Opposing the Growth of Class - Charles Horton Cooley
This is a chapter from Cooley's book, Social Organization. Cooley examines how differences owing to racial makeup and immigration influence the development of a caste and class hierarchy in a society. Cooley also explores how a society becomes settled and how a lack of communication between groups stabilizes class distinctions.
