15.  A solution has a pH of 4.  This solution is a(n) acid and has an excess of H+ ions.

Look at the pH scale on page 29 in your textbook.  You should know that this is a logarithmic scale.  This means that the difference between pH 3 and pH 4 is a ten fold difference, i.e., a solution with a pH of 3 has ten times more H+ than a solution with a pH of 4.
