1.  Which of the following statements is always true?

    a.  all cells have a cell membrane        b.  all cells contain a nucleus         c.  all cells have a cell wall

Choice (b) is incorrect because prokaryotic cells lack a nucleus.  However, even though prokaryotic cells lack a nucleus, they do contain genetic material.  It is just not separated from the rest of the cell by a nuclear envelope  or membrane. Choice (c) is incorrect because animal cells don't have a cell wall.
