10.  The greatest amount of ATP is formed during

a.  Glycolysis     b.  Fermentation    c.  Citric Acid Cycle     d.  Chemiosmotic Phosphorylation

Look at the diagram on page 129 in the text.   That diagram may be a bit overwhelming (right!) so first look at the right side of the diagram.  That portion of the diagram summarizes the amount of ATP generated in glycolysis(2ATP), citric acid cycle (2 ATP) and chemiosmotic phosphorylation (32 ATP).   That takes care of all of the choices except fermentation.  Remember that in fermentation, all of the ATP generated comes from glycolysis, so organisms get only 2 ATP molecules from each glucose molecule metabolized by fermentation.
