This question illustrates the principal of complementary base pairing.  In DNA, adeneine containing nucleotides always pair with thymine containing nucleotides and cytosine containing nucleotides always pair with guanine containing nucleotides.  Thus, in a double stranded DNA molecule, the amount of A always equals the amount of T and the amount of C always equals the amount of G.
