Write a Final Revised Research Report
1. Read Lannon:
Optional: If you have problems with grammar, you
should review
-
Lannon,
10th edition:
-
Appendix C -- "Editing for Grammar, Usage, and
Mechanics."
-
Lannon, 11th edition: Part V, "A Quick Guide to
Grammar, Usage, and Mechanics"
Suggested: go to the Grammar and Editing page and print out the Checklists for Consistency and Correctness. Use them to help you do a final proofreading of your report.
2. Do not start revising your report until I respond to your Research Report Draft.
3. Read through my comments and revise your report according to both my comments and your current ideas about how to improve and polish your paper. You may not always choose to follow my suggestions; that's ok, so long as you have a good alternative.
On the other hand, I may not even notice something in
the draft that needs to be revised; so you need to do
more than just follow my comments for revision. You
need to rethink and revise your draft independently.
4. When you have completed revising your Research Report, go to Blackboard and select Discussion Board. Then select the Forum for Research Report Draft and Final. Select Add New Thread to open a message box. Paste your memo into the box and click on submit. The Final Research Report is worth up to 200 points.
