Teacher Talk

The material in this unit is NOT common sense; you have to memorize it (I think I've said this before!). This takes time!  The goal is that you know and understand the material so that you can apply the information in subsequent units. Work in this unit will make the work in future units much easier.
Please try to view the videos. Take notes as you watch them.  After you have seen the video tapes 3 and 4, see if  you can finish filling out the following chart.  This chart should look familiar! You should memorize everything on this chart. After you finish with the chart, check your answers.

*Elements refers to the elements in the macromolecule and functional groups refers to the functional group(s) associated with the monomer or basic unit that make up the polymer.

After you have studied, take the practice quiz and then check your answers.  Study the material that you missed on the quiz.  If you don't understand something, please contact your instructor..
