Explain the relationship between the genetic material of gametes and the genetic material of a zygote in organisms that reproduce by sexual means.
Explain how crossing over in prophase 1 of meiosis, independent assortment of chromosomes in meiosis 1, and fertilization each contribute to genetic diversity.
